We don't want to step on the toes of other branches, so if you do not live in any of the post code areas below, please visit the main CP website www.cats.org.uk to find your local branch.
Barnsley Postcodes covered include: S70, S71, S72, S73, S74, S75, also some areas of S35, S36, S63, HD8, HD9, WF4, WF9, DN5.

We have lots of cats & Kittens needing new loving homes.  All cats are neutered, vaccinated and microchipped, kittens are treated for fleas, wormed and undergo a vet-healthcheck before they are homed.  Please contact us if you feel that you can offer one of our cats a home. You will be asked to participate in a home visit which is an opportunity for you to ensure that you adopt the cat which is right for you.  Cats Protection asks adopters for a fee when rehoming a cat or kitten. If you feel able to make a donation on top of the fee that would, of course, be gratefully received. We know times are hard so thank you for your decision to rehome a cat from us.

For enquiries regarding adoptions please 'phone  01226 781998- between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm. PLEASE SHOW COURTESY AND DON'T PHONE AT UNSOCIABLE HOURS, thankyou.

When viewing a cat please remember you are in someone's home so be prompt, don't stay too long and ensure children are on best behaviour - the fosterer always has the final say on whether a cat is homed to you.

HOME VISITS - these visits are just an opportunity for us to ensure that you are adopting the right sort of cat for your particular household. For instance, shy or nervous cats may not be suited to families with small children or other pets. It doesn't take long and you will be contacted very soon afterwards with all the details of the cats and kittens we have available at the time. Please remember - we are not there to judge the size or cleanliness of your home - just the level of commitment you are prepared to give your new family member.
